Trek on the hills surrounding Um Qais while searching for edible plants.

Um Qais is quite a lush garden in comparison to much of Jordan, and it is because of this that there are foraging trips seven months of the year. There are many edible ingredients that can be found on the hills or within the fertile farmland that surrounds the village of Um Qais. The foraging groups will set off onto the hills or into the fields in search of arkoub, loof, almonds, olives and much more. Foraging groups will also learn of the plant and animal biodiversity while on their adventure. The edible plants and fruits would be of much better use in a kitchen, therefore, we strongly suggest that guests book a cooking class after their foraging experience.
